Well I'm still working on my Christmas cards. I finally decided which ones I want to print, and you guessed it....I ran out of ink. Sometimes I think I take one step ahead....and three steps behind. Good news is I Finished shopping for my Grandgirls, now for the Grandboys......It should be easy as they want books. I love that, I always made sure each of my 5 children got a book and an orange. For my Grandbabies, all 9 of them, I always have put a personalozed christmas ornament on my Tree.... .... to help making their Christmas's more memorable in my own Grandma way.(when they are old enough to have their own home an Christmas tree I will give them their own ornaments.) I also started making them Christmas coloring books. Something they can do to keep busy, and now I make a new one each year.
They all have the Christmas Elf, which has become a tradition. We have a few, Sparkle, Leroy, Michael....(Some of the grands are too old for the elf. I Still have my elf from when I was a child. Totally different. Mine just sat on the tree. Maybe I should put an elf in my Christmas coloring book.....How about in Silly Selma's 2nd Christmas Coloring Book, she meets the Christmas elf (I change story line at last minute, savIng this idea for next year) don't have much time, and thats when I do my best work....I think. So I hope by next week when I post this I will have some pictures. I hope everybody has time to do fulfil their Holiday Traditions, and enjoy the season. ....and sneak away for some creativity.
So here is the Coloring Book, I am including a uncolored cover picture for them to color. The FIRST Silly Selma story is about how she changes the colors of the world In this coloring book she wants to change all colors to red and green, I am curious to see what each child does.
So as the Holiday Season draws near, my blogs are shorter, but I hope just as informative. I may not be creating my watercolor art, but just the same I am creating! Until next week create and enjoy....next cookies?
PS if you are in the neighborhood of the Boynton Beach Library, on Seacrest avenue....check out the wonderful show by the Palm Beach Watercolor Society. Great show on the second floor. Or if you are near Crawford Avenue in Boca Raton in the community Center PBWCS has another show....I have art in both shows. xxxooo bye for now...
